The Canadian Pressure Injury Advisory Panel (CPIAP) is pleased to announce that the Call for Abstracts is now open for the 2026 CPIAP Symposium on Pressure Injuries, taking place November 26–27, 2026, in Calgary, Alberta.
This national symposium will bring together clinicians, researchers, educators, healthcare leaders, industry partners, students, and persons with lived experience from across Canada to share evidence, innovative practices, and practical solutions that advance pressure injury prevention and management.
Submission Deadline: August 15, 2026
We Invite Abstracts Related To:
Research
Innovative clinical practices
Quality improvement initiatives
Education
Advocacy
Patient stories and lived experience
Case series
Policy or program development
Interdisciplinary initiatives that advance pressure injury prevention and management
Poster Presentations
Accepted abstracts will be presented as electronic posters during dedicated poster networking sessions at the Symposium.
In addition, each presenting author will have approximately five minutes to introduce their work on stage, engage with attendees, and answer questions about their poster.
CPIAP Most Impactful Abstract Award
One accepted abstract will be recognized with the CPIAP Most Impactful Abstract Award, celebrating an outstanding contribution to pressure injury prevention and management.

Omit author names and institutional affiliations within the abstract text
Be submitted through the online abstract submission portal
Creative submissions and innovative formats are also welcome.
