On Friday, November 21, 2025, provincial and federal leaders, healthcare administrators, clinicians, researchers, and patient advocates gathered both in-person at Richcraft Hall, Carleton University in Ottawa and virtually across Canada for the second annual Canadian Pressure Injury Summit, hosted by the Canadian Pressure Injury Advisory Panel (CPIAP).
Under this year’s theme — Repositioning Pressure Injuries: Shifting mindsets and transforming culture to support practice excellence — the summit emphasized the critical role of standardized data, patient partnership, workforce education, and policy alignment to shift mindsets, strengthen accountability, and reduce the burden of pressure injuries across the Canadian health system
The event aligned with Worldwide Pressure Injury Prevention Day (November 20, 2025), strengthening a nationwide effort to raise awareness, share evidence, and mobilize action to support better outcomes for individuals at risk of pressure injuries.

11% from Manitoba
10% from Newfoundland and Labrador
The remaining 16% represented all other provinces and territories
