I am a Clinical Educator at Northumberland Hills Hospital with more than twenty years of nursing experience, including thirteen years in Critical Care. My background spans frontline ICU practice, clinical education, quality improvement, and system‑level project work. I hold a Master’s degree in Advanced Practice Wound, Ostomy and Continence from Curtin University, along with specialized training through the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Institute and a Graduate Certificate in Critical Care Nursing.
In my current role, I support nursing staff through evidence‑based education, competency development, and practice consultation. I also serve as co‑chair of our hospital’s HAPI Quality Aim Committee, where I work closely with interdisciplinary teams to analyze audit data, identify barriers, and implement practical strategies to reduce preventable harm. My previous project work includes serving as a regional representative for a Clinical Informatics System upgrade and participating in the COVID‑19 Vaccination Clinic.

Beyond my hospital role, I am an Academic Advisor for the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Institute’s NSWOC program, where I support learners in advanced clinical education and reflective practice.

Across all of my roles, I am committed to improving patient outcomes, strengthening clinical practice, and supporting nurses through accessible, meaningful education. I bring experience in adult learning, quality improvement, informatics, and frontline engagement—skills that align closely with CPIAP’s mission to advance pressure injury prevention and management across Canada.
