Biography

I have devoted over 50 years to nursing, building a career defined by clinical excellence, leadership, and a commitment to improving healthcare. As a registered nurse, I have worked across diverse settings, gaining extensive experience in patient care, community health, and organizational leadership, which has given me a deep understanding of the evolving needs of patients and healthcare systems.
I hold a Master of Business Administration, which has allowed me to combine clinical expertise with strategic thinking and operational management. This blend of skills has enabled me to contribute meaningfully to both practice and healthcare policy.
I have had the honor of serving two terms on the regulatory Board of Directors, where I supported initiatives to uphold professional standards, strengthen governance, and promote safe, high-quality care. These experiences reinforced my belief in accountability, advocacy, and leadership within the nursing profession.
Currently, I work as a Clinical Educator in Nunavut, supporting nurses and healthcare professionals in delivering culturally safe, patient-centered care. I am passionate about mentoring, developing educational programs, and fostering ongoing professional growth in a dynamic and often challenging healthcare environment.
Throughout my career, I have been guided by dedication, integrity, and a desire to improve healthcare outcomes. I am proud to serve as a mentor, advocate, and leader in nursing and am honored to be considered for this nomination.
