Biography
Joshua is a certified Nurse Specialized in Wound, Ostomy and Continence with a Master of Science in Community Health - Wound Prevention and Care. As part of his clinical experience, Joshua has held various positions in Acute, Community, Long-Term Care and Complex Continuing Care (CCC) settings which enabled him to establish, influence, and transform clinical programs and initiatives related to wound care management. He values the principle of ongoing learning and has been involved in promoting knowledge transfer of wound care best practices among interprofessional teams and clinical student learners.
Joshua has been involved in several expert panel and guideline initiatives related to wound care including the recent 4th Edition of the RNAO BPG on Pressure Injury Management and the 4th Edition of the NPIAP, EPUAP, PPPIA International Pressure Injury Guideline. In 2016, he was a member of the Health Quality Ontario’s Wound Advisory Committee responsible for the quality standards related to the management of Diabetic Foot Ulcers, Leg Ulcers and Pressure Injuries. He is the current Ontario Regional Director for Nurses Specialized in Wound, Ostomy and Continence Canada (NSWOCC) and the President of the Canadian Pressure Injury Advisory Panel (CPIAP).
