Bernadette is a Clinical Resource Manager at Northwood Care facilities. Within her position she provides wound care leadership to 730 long term care beds. Bernadette holds a B Comm from Saint Mary’s University and is a graduate of the International Interdisciplinary Wound Care program.
Within her 33 year career in nursing, Bernadette developed an early interest in wound care which has led to 20 years focusing on various aspects of wound care within Long Term Care (LTC). Bernadette’s expertise in wound care has spanned from industry to developing a successful Wound Care Program to Northwood Care facilities. Her knowledge and leadership skills both in industry and management has resulted in the success of product standardization, education, and the development of interdisciplinary wound resource teams within her organization. The outcomes of this project have demonstrated improved cost effective care and the reduction of pressure injuries.
