Danielle Gilbert

Danielle Gilbert is a nurse specialized in wound, Ostomy and continence.

She graduated from Laval University, where she completed a baccalaureate in nursing. She completed the program of enterostomal therapist nursing education program from (ETNEP-CAET) in 2002.

She’s involved in several areas in wound and ostomy care in Quebec. She works in interdisciplinarity with other health professionals. She participates in several committees for wound care in Quebec.

She has been vice president of Regroupement québécois en soins de plaies (RQSP) from 2010 to 2019. She’s now president since March 2019.

She’s involved in continuing education in wound care for Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ). She’s Ostomy and wound care consultant at Pro-Assist in Quebec City.

She has also been involved for almost 20 years in college education as a professor and in university education a professor in wound care at university of Quebec in Levis (UQAR-Campus Lévis) since 2005. She’s a co-author of articles in ostomy therapy and wound care for Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ).

She’s member of Nurse specializing in Wound, Ostomy and Continence Canada (NSWOCC), and she’s member of Quebec ET nurse association, Association des infirmières et infirmiers stomothérapeute du Québec (AIISQ).
